Psychotherapeutic techniques are utilised during each session. Initial assessments are made during the first session & throughout the therapeutic process. The strategies chosen are entirely dependent on each individual client need.
REBATES MAY APPLY to all bookings with our Psychologist.
Medicare Rebates apply to those referred by their GP under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP – 10 annually). Contact your GP to arrange a double consultation appointment to discuss and see if you are eligible.
Private Rebates may apply (Check with your Private Health Provider for your specific coverage).

PLEASE NOTE: Fees are to be PAID IN FULL on the day of your appointment. If claiming on Medicare, book a double appointment with your GP to discuss your eligibility for a Mental Health Care Plan. The Medicare Rebate range depends on your current Medicare Threshold. If claiming on your Private Health Fund, please check with your Health Provider for your specific cover.
COUPLE & RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
Relationship issues are dealt with in a relaxed environment & utilise both Narrative & Psychotherapeutic techniques. Within this setting therapists at SOUTH PERTH COUNSELLING SERVICES treat the relationship as ‘the client’. If conflict has reached an excessive level then couples may be encouraged to attend individual counselling for a number of sessions prior to the returning to the couple or family setting. Confidentiality is highly regarded during these sessions. In some cases where there is a conflict of interest, clients may be individually referred to an alternative therapist at our practice or a local recommended psychologist.

GROUP THERAPY
Groups run in a structured form over a course of 4 terms. Each weekly session scheduled involves self awareness training & psychotherapy. Initial & end of term weekends include intensive psychotherapy at a hills retreat setting. These groups are offered to the general public. An initial assessment process is undertaken at the initial retreat weekend prior to individuals being accepted into the program. For those working in management roles, the group fees are tax deductible.
